Vegan Pastry Chef- Part Time
The Fountain of Juice is looking for a meticulous, creative pastry chef who is able to make, as well as create, delicious vegan recipes that are gluten-free without using refined sugars. We use high quality ingredients (like cacao butter, adaptogens, dates, chia seed) to make raw desserts, vegan chocolate and baked goods. We try our best to use our pulp left over from juicing the various fruits, veggies and nut mylks we make to create nutrient dense treats.
SHIFTS- Part Time;
· Hours May Vary, mornings and days only, no night shifts.
· Must be available to work Fridays*** Early morning-day shift, no night shifts.
COMPENSATION- starting hourly is $13.50
We are developing recipes and growing our in-house baked goods and dessert line. This position is in our commercial juice production kitchen, and is for someone with gluten-free pastry experience, looking for creative freedom to work independently and an opportunity to grow professionally. We are offering a part-time position to start, working 1 or 2 days a week as we establish this department.
Follow current recipes and able to develop new and seasonal recipes
Making an assortment of pastries, like muffins, bread, donuts, cookies, and/or chocolate
Machine & Equipment cleaning
Slicing, packaging & labeling pastries
Finished goods inventory
Executes daily opening and closing procedures
Shares valuable feedback with leadership to make improvements in the success of our production kitchen.
Must have experience in successfully making vegan desserts
Commercial kitchen experience
Up to date on current trends in the health food industry
Has a passion for raw foods and vegan baking
Knowledge of Health department regulations
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Takes pride in your finished work
Strong communication skills
Maintain personal appearance and hygiene each day you are present
